Our Core Values

Vision Statement

To be the Christian Retreat that people think about when they want to get closer to Jesus, relax, and hang out with great people!

Mission Statement

The Texas Christian Ashram provides an opportunity for people to retreat from the normal routines of life to intentionally work on their relationship with Jesus through teaching, fellowship, and prayer.

Core Values

  1. Christian Retreat - Often times we see in scripture that Jesus withdrew from the crowds to be by himself or with just His desciples. We believe that we should do the same. At the Texas Christian Ashram, we are surrounded by fellow Christ followers in an environment that glorifies God. There are also times for you to withdraw from the crowd and focus on Jesus.
  2. Christian Fellowship - The two greatest commandments were to Love God and Love others! The body of Christ has a ton of people in it, and we all have unique gifts and perspectives. At the Texas Christian Ashram, we want to give the opportunity to be built up by other Christ Followers.
  3. Christian Lifestyle - Those who abide in His word, abide with Him and faith without action is dead faith. At the Texas Christian Ashram, we believe that we should not only learn the Word of God, but we should live out His word the best we can.
Our Core Beliefs
We are a non-denominational organization that is comprised of many different denominations. The main thing is Christian. How we define that is below:
  1. We are saved by the grace of God; that is, we cannot add to or take away from Christ’s finished work on the cross as full payment for our sin (Ephesians 2:8–9)
  2.  The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct Persons, each Person is fully God, there is only one God (Phil. 1:2; Titus 2:13; Acts 5:3-4; John 1:1-5; John 10:30; Gen 1:26; Deut 6:4)
  3. God the Father is reigns over His universe and His creation. He graciously makes the gift of salvation available to us. (1 Tim 1:17; Eph 4:6; Genesis 1:1; 2:7; Exodus 3:14; Mark 1:9-11; John 4:24; 5:26; 14:6-13; 17:1-8; Acts 1:7; Galatians 4:6; Colossians 1:15; Hebrews 11:6; 12:9; 1 Peter 1:17; 1 John 5:7)
  4. Jesus is the Son of God. He is 100% man and 100% God. No man can come to God the Father except through Him. (John 1:1, 49; John 10:30;Luke 22:70; Mark 3:11; Philippians 2:5–11; John 14:6-13)
  5. The Comforter/Intercessor/Advocate, Holy Spirit, was sent from God to teach us all things, show us righteousness, and convict men of sin. (John 16: 7-14; 14:26)
  6. As Christians, we were created to fellowship with God, for good works, called to imitate Jesus, and live a life in obedience with the Bible (God's Word) (Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 5:1; John 15)
